Goddess of the Sun and Goddess of the Moon

The Jade Emperor who reigns in the sky has two beautiful daughters. The Jade Emperor loved them very much, so he let them take turns every day to go around the world and observe everything to report back to him.

The first daughter named Sun was allowed to sit in a flower palanquin carried by four people. These four people are divided into two groups: an old group and a young group. The group of old people carrying the palanquin always takes care of their duties and works hard, so Miss Sun often goes around very quickly. As for the group of children, the nature of the children is to wander, so the times they are assigned to carry the palanquin, they often come back late. Therefore, each time the Sun goes with the young, the day is long, and with the old group, the day is short.

Moon is the younger sister hot-tempered than the older sister. Her heat has harmed people and things quite a lot. Yet she was still squirming, swooping in everywhere, making the people extremely scared. People were miserable because of her, they complained so much, so much so that the cry reached the Heavens, causing the mother to decide to take ashes and apply it to her face to reduce the heat. But the Jade Emperor pampered his children, so he didn't let his wife do it.

At that time there was a man named Quai. He was an orphan, but he he had an extremely large body and excellent health. Because of the evil actions of Moon, Quai was determined to teach her a lesson. He waited Moon on a high mountain and hid a handful of sand in his hand. That day, Moon still had the old habit of swooping down to look at things while walking. Quai waited for her to approach and then suddenly threw sand into her eyes and face. Moon was suddenly attacked, closed her eyes at once but her face was covered with sand and it still got into her eyes. She panicked and quickly flew up high, away from where Quai stood. From then on she did not dare to swoop near the ground again. Her face is stuck with sand, so it's not as bright as it used to be. Later, her personality became gentler, more gentle so people lgradually liked her more. It is said that every time she looks down at the human world, it is the full moon, she turns her back means the thirtieth, the first day, and she turns to the left, to the right, which means the period of the low or high moon. And when the moon is halo, that's when the plastered sand is blown away by the wind.
