140. Ghost revenge

A robber was caught he was sentenced to death. In the time, he stayed in prison waiting for his death, he told his family to find the way to save his life. His families made their way to the mandarin who judged him. They requested him to save the robber and he agreed to help them only if they could gave him twenty silver bars. His families gave him enough the silver but after he had the silver, he didn’t want to divide the silver to his fellows and higher mandarin. Therefore, the robber’s appeal was not cared. Later, the robber was killed as the before judgment. The mandarin wanted to avoid the robber’s family, he moved to other place. The thing because of that was forgotten.
A student had chance to participate in the king’s contest but he was so poor. Though he borrowed money from his relatives and including his neighbors, he still didn’t have enough money to go to capital. When the date he set off came, a man came and made friend with him. The man asked him to go to capital with him that they would have more happiness than going alone. He complained that he had not enough money for the journey so the man promised that he would look after him on the journey.
They set off. The man seemed very kind that he served the student as if he was his servant, preparing food and drink, helping him have place to rest and all there things were free the man payed them. But, the man had never eaten or slept at the same place with him, the student and that made him felt uneasy.
“I am grateful that you help me very much but I don’t see you take care of yourself that made me uneasy. Where do you eat and sleep man?” he told the man while they were walking down a hill.
“I am a ghost. I follow you just to revenge”, said the man, not hesitating.
“Revenge? Who?” asked the student.
“A mandarin who had taken my money but didn’t help me”, said the ghost, that man.
“What is his name?” asked the student.
“His name is Dang”, replied the ghost.
“God, he was my old teacher”, screamed the student.
“Be free. I do my work, revenging and you also do you work, returning thank. You only need to show me his house”, added the ghost.
When they arrived to capital, they separated that the student went toward the contest place and the ghost walked to Dang’s house.
Firstly, the ghost made Dang’s son turn mad. The fourteen-year-old child was a gentle, polite boy, suddenly became uncontrolled and started annoying others. At last, the boy brought a knife, ran out to street and hurt people. He made a boy injured and killed a person. The family of the dead brought the dead to Dang’s house and requested him to pay for that. Dang wasted a lot of money giving the family and helping them to bury the dead. Also he had to give money to mandarins for them to ignore that case while his servants looking for his son. They brought him back home then invited doctors coming and curing him but that seemed useless. Later, Dang invited an exorcist coming and expelling the ghost from his son but three days later the boy’s madness didn’t decrease. The exorcist admitted that he couldn’t chase the ghost out the boy because the ghost was so powerful before he left. Though, Dang didn’t give up he notified that any one who could cure his son would have a lot money from him.
The student intended to turn back home after he knew he had failed. While he was unhappy because he didn’t have money to go back, the ghost appeared.
“That is the time you return your thank to your teacher. Firstly, I intended to kill him but I thought again and only made his son mad a short time. Now, you can come and cure his son that you can return thank to him and also get money to go back”, said the ghost, “I am in hurry, must go now”.
The student made his way to his old teacher. His teacher was in confusion so he didn’t want to meet him he told his servant to talk him that he was out.
“I come here because of my teacher’s son”, said the student, looking to the servant.
Dang hurriedly invited his student in home.
The student lied that he had studied a rare method to cure madness. It was easy each night he stayed in a room with patient, ignored the patient though he or she screamed and read ancient poems. He did the thing patiently in three days. Fortunately, the boy’s madness decreased and later he was cured.
Dang was super happy he praised his old student and course, he also gave the student twenty silver bars before he left. Happily, the student received the silver and went back his home.
