Deeply to forest, in a not-ending, huge cave lived a flesh-eating python. It had a giant head with red crest. Its eyes were as big as oranges and sparkling. Its body was about hundred-meter length, covered by big hard scales. When it moved, it stuck down trees on it way, brought dust, sands to go with it. That looked like a small tornado cleaned all things on its way. The python had killed may people, cattle and therefore, people could smell terrible smell on its body from a distance. People had found the way to kill it many times but almost of them lost their lives.
“Whoever can kill the python will be my daughter’s husband”, notified the recent king.
But, at that moment, the king had to build a temple and promised that he would bring a girl to this temple to gift the python to have its less sabotage.
He was a young man, fed and taught by monks in a temple standing on a high mountain. Monks were kungfu masters. They taught him very carefully. When he was mature, monks gifted him a sword and let him go, exploring the world. The first place he thought about was his hometown. Therefore, he made his way to hometown. After entire daytime walking, he felt tired and wanted to find somewhere to rest. Then, he saw light come out from a temple in forest. Too happy he walked toward it and didn't know that was the where respected the python. Just arrived to the gate, he heard someone cry. The voice led him to a girl, about twenty years old, was tied on a pillar. Hurriedly he untied her.
“Why are you tied here?” he said.
“You don’t know? This is python temple where people are brought and became food of python”, she said, stopping crying.
She said all things about the python then burst into tear again.
“My mother! She has only a relative who is me. I don’t feel sorry for my fate but you know”, she cried more loudly, “Who will take care of her?”
“When will it come?” he asked gently.
“In tonight”, she said.
“I will replace you girl. Go home and take care of your mother”, he said.
“Don’t! I don’t want anyone to replace me. That is my fate. I only want you to appease my mother if you go cross my village”, she said.
“You must go now and avoid from the monster.” he took his sword, “It will not have chance to harm me. I will fight against it”.
He led her out the forest then came back the temple, stayed up to wait the python. At midnight, he heard trees fall down outside, branches were broken, crack and crack. Terrible smell stormed into his nostrils and made his stomach roll up. Immediately, he hid himself after the gate. The python crept gently as normal. It headed his head pass the gate slowly but it was fast as a lighting he cut on its neck. The python was attacked painfully, it turned crazy and attacked against him violently. It planned to bite him but it got the second injury because of recklessness. It roared, spitted out terrible-smell breath, throwing its heavy tail toward him with speed of lightnings. There was a bang he was kicked away, rolled some rounds and laid on ground. The python opened its mouth, moved toward him as an arrow. It nearly swallowed him. Fortunately, he stood up in time, thrusted his sword into its mouth. The sword went cross its brain, reached its skull and was broken. He pulled out the rest of the sword and continued cutting it some bits. Though its injuries were very serious and its head had stopped moving, its body still trembled, tightened up anything and crushed them. The wall, roof, and pillars were broken. Tables and chairs on temple were squeezed under its body. Calmly he raised his sword and cut strongly on its neck. Its head was cut off so that its body stopped moving.
After the fighting, he was thirsty so found the way to a stream and drank. He laid his body by the stream and slept entire a day after drinking because he was too tired.
The next morning, the guard came to the temple as normal. He felt surprised as he saw the python lay on blood and besides, the girl had disappeared. He immediately took the head of the monster, made his way to the castle. When the king saw the head of the python, he was very happy.
“Who killed the python?” asked the king.
“I’m the person”, said the guard.
The king ordained the guard to be a duke and ordered servants to organize a wedding. But, while the wedding was in process, a man appeared, the real hero. He requested soldiers to meet the king.
“My king, I come here to get the fragment of my sword in head of the python”, he said.
“You mean that I had a false hero”, said the king, turning to the new duke who had white face at the moment.
“Who is this guy? I’ve never seen him before so how can he kill the python in my area?” said the new duke, trying to lead the king to other direction.
But, the king stopped the wedding. He ordered soldiers to explore the fragment in the head of python. Later, the soldiers brought the fragment to him and it was the other part of the man’s sword.
“You dare to lie me!” shouted the king, staring at the guard.
At one, he ordered soldiers to take off his clothes and brought him to prison. Then, he led the man, the real hero to his daughter, the princess, and continued to wedding.
